Chocolate Chips and Friends

Two delectable desserts we love!

We had a little extra time on our hands, and due to our obsession with FRIENDS the series, this entry and the two goodness coming your way is dedicated to Joey Tribbiani. Hehehe.

Introducing, yummy buttery chocolate chip cake with a layer of Oreo's and topped with dark chocolate brownies. Comes in plain or covered in chocolate ganache.

And its counterpart, the Double Chocolate chip Cookie Dough Cake; two layers of moist chocolate cake sandwiching a thick dollop of chocolate chip cookie dough and French buttercream.
How you doin'?

Somewhere Over the Rainbow Cupcake

So we made rainbow cupcakes and tried it out with our new creamy French Buttercream and finished it. So we baked again and again, we finished it.

It took all the strength of a chilled marshmallow fondant not to gobble down the third batch.

Here are two of them, standing there looking so buttery, light, sweet, colourful, and oh-so-magical!

RM 4 each, they come in boxes of 16s. Love-urr-ly!

Basic Buttercream and All

Good afternoon, sweet things! It's been awhile since an update, and we blame the weather for this inconsistency, for one can always blame the weather for anything these days. Hehehehe. Anywho, we made cupcakes with basic buttercream deco last week and thought we'd share the photos with you lot.

They look very similar to another cupcake company's design, don't they? It wasn't our intention to copy, but rather experiment with hand-skills and patterns. Any resemblance to them is of accidental nature.
C.S. Lewis once said:

“Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it.”

We couldn't agree more. Happy holidays!
