Nazurah's Family Picnic Photoshoot

In collaboration with our sister company, Unicorns and Vanilla Photography, we came up with an outdoor shoot promo like no other. Nazurah contacted us wanting to have a session with her family on a picnic, and together, we came up with a rustic menu for her and the family to show off in the pictures. There were scones with jam and cream, rootbeer pop soda in vintage bottles (bought at Urbanfresh), loaves of bread, cups of tea and plenty smiles to go around.

Saiful's 25th | A Gentlemen's Party

Saiful's girlfriend, Sue, wanted to make his party a memorable one. She came up with the Gentlemen's Party theme and we were honoured to be a part of her creativity.

Remember the apple pies we made earlier? This is how they were displayed for the party. The birthday boy didn't care much for cakes but had a delectable tastebud for his favourite pie.

Here are some photos from the party.

The pleasure was all ours.

If Cinnamon Barks, Would Apples Core?

How many of you just love the classic combination of apples and cinnamon?

We made a soft cinnamon caramel and poached cubed green apples for the scrumptious fillings of these apple pie.

And a puff pastry or two later:

These were made especially for Saiful's Gentleman's Party, which we shall feature next, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, can anyone say homemade vanilla bean ice-cream?

Vintage Charm Necklace Cupcakes

Our good friends from Lembayung Senja were getting married and we couldn't pass up the chance to celebrate!

We made these pretty little vintage charm cupcakes for the bride's hantaran to the groom in pastel purple and white.

They had a beautiful ceremony in Shah Alam and a month later held their reception in Damansara, with a bun in the oven!

We wish them both (plus baby!) a happy and fulfilling life. Can't wait to see the little munchkin!

Sorry, Thank You and New Adventures

Yes, yes, we haven't been updating for a looong while, we know. What with a wedding to organise (our very own) and the birth of a fresh start with our sister company Unicorns and Vanilla Photography, we were, for lack of a more flowery term, busy.

So here we are then. Firstly, we'd like to thank those of you whom have relentlessly given us the support, love and magic we need to get this far. May you all be blessed with unicorn glitter and colourful rays of light, always!

We promise to continue bringing you the best quality ingredients, delivered freshest and in the most whimsically creative designs.

So yea, let's move onwards and upwards to new adventures, together.

We're so excited!

Unicorns, Vanilla, and Friends

We have a LOT of young mother's as clients and the most regularly discussed upon topic for their 1-year-old's birthdays is whether to have a party or not. They love their little heroes, and want to spoil them rotten, but having one might not be the smartest thing to do for one who won't even be able to tell the colour of their brightly-coloured cake whilst the "no-party" option would deem them mums-from-hell.

So, together with our sister company Kawan Kawan Pictures, we have come up with the perfect solution for your mummy dilemma.

The idea is simple: have a mock party and have it photographed!

Yes, you heard us right, mock party.

So whether you're thinking of a Pokemon-themed birthday party for your little ones or an intimate picnic party for a couple's shoot, THIS is an offer you won't want to miss.

All you have to do is to let us know what your theme is, and we'll do the rest for you!

It really is, that simple.

All additional details are on this poster:

Now, excuse us please while we bite into a toffee macaron.

Sweetness.

Eid-ul-Fitr Promo

It's that celebratory time again, folks! The team at Unicorns and Vanilla wishes you a very merry, happy Eid-ul-Fitr! And to make it even sweeter, we have come up with the following promotion, just for you, our beloved friends and family:

Our cookies for lack of a better name suited for it, is called The Large Chewy simply because they are huge at approximately 4 inches in diameter of gooey chocolate chips, deep caressing vanilla flavour and salty butter goodness! Our normal price for these bad-ass yumsters are RM 2.50 each, but are now selling for RM 2 each.

Our macaronnage has begun and it's an adventure we wouldn't want to go on alone! There are a variety of flavours and combinations to choose from, and they go at RM 2.70 each at a size of approximately 1-1.5 inches in diameter. Wowzers!

Also, home-made is the new store-bought and at Unicorns and Vanilla we prefer food made from the heart, with love! Oreo cookies are a heaven to have at home and at RM 10 per 100g, you'll be begging for more! No preservatives, no artificial colourings or flavourings, these cookies are your best friends for nights-in and rainy days.

Be sure to stock up, and have a wonderful, fantastic Eid, everyone!
